Sparkke at the Whitmore is our first venue and one of Australia’s first female founded and led brew pubs. Here, makers are celebrated, including our own talented team.

WHAT'S ON AT THE WHITMORE

Sparkke the Winter Rooftop Party

Join us on the (heated!) Rooftop to welcome the Winter Solstice! Enjoy the city views while still feeling cozy, and welcome the winter with a glass of mulled wine, dark ale or special hot chai lemonade.

 

Our Rooftop fire grill kitchen will be serving toasty snacks all night, and Adelaide's favourite DJ Milk Paste will be spinning from 8pm til late, so come warm up with a boogie! Entry is $10 and strictly limited - pay at the door or purchase now to secure a spot.

Linocut Mandala Workshop with Hanah Williams

We're delighted to be joined by artist and printmaker educator Hanah Williams for a four hour workshop in Linocut printmaking, Sunday 17th July from 1-4pm. In this hands-on workshop, learn how to design, carve and print a small linocut block. Using patterns and mandala imagery, you will be introduced to relief printmaking techniques and take home a small collection of prints. This workshop is solvent free and eco friendly with all materials provided. Included in the price of the ticket is a glass of wine and grazing board selection.

Dine at fare

Sparkke at the Whitmore’s award-winning restaurant was officially christened as fare on the venue’s first birthday. And appropriately for a female led kitchen, this was also International Womens Day 2020.

 

In its most true sense, fare simply means food. Giving a generous nod to the peaceful practice of old: breaking bread together, fare’s dishes offer versatility and its share-plate leanings aim to build a sense of community among the people who feast here.

 

We look at food holistically, our ethos aims to showcase local producers who we work with, while minimising our carbon footprint. We’re able to close the loop to refine systems to minimise waste. Simply, nothing gets thrown out, everything gets used.

 

We welcome you with open arms to enjoy a meal, curated by our Head Chef Kelly Delaney, or just a drink in our space, cozied up by the roaring fireplace in the cooler months or enjoy the summer breeze with our open plan dining space, all while allowing our staff to take care of you.

OUR BREWERY

Welcome to the little 25m2 brewhouse with the pink floor! Our nanobrewery is a centrepiece, visible from almost everywhere on the ground floor. You can see, hear and smell whatever is brewing.

 

  • All our brews are made onsite, including our Carbon Zero Beers, which is our commitment to a more sustainable future. We’ve also moved our Carbon Zero canning process to in-house canning, which is another small step we’re taking to reduce our footprint. You can read more about our sustainability commitments below.
